In 2002, after a decade plus five spent composing for film, theatre and multimedia and producing other artists at his studio in Perth, Ben Chase couldn’t contain himself any longer. He succumbed to his passion for the voice. As a songwriter the melodies take him for the ride. A progressive and often psychedelic groove with intense lyrics enveloped in combinations of melodic bass and guitar lines. In production, anything goes. It’s a free movement between simple and intense vocal arrangements, strings, acoustic guitars, drums and samples. Late night jams, coffee and sweat give us timeless tracks of pop rock meets electronica with stoner rock undertones that will remain our minds for many years to come.
